I Remember the Presidents Bill Clinton 42nd President 1993-2001

July 3, 2008 / by scottishlassie

Bill Clinton, without a doubt, was the most popular and successful President one could imagine. He was elected twice, but he was also impeached.

This man vastly reduced the poverty level of the United States.  He pushed through the 1994 Crime Bill which provided monies from the Federal Government for Prison Construction.  He helped reduce violent crime, and hopped the globe to further American good will. America enjoyed absolute prosperity during his two terms of the Presidency.  He did a lot for minority agendas.

This man is tall, handsome, and possesses great Southern charm, albeit suffers from what I call the Actor's personna, in many ways.

Some of his comments follow:

"I like the job. That's what I'll miss the most...I'm not sure anybody ever liked this as much as I've liked it."

"Never pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel."

"But our greatest strength is the power of our ideas, which are still new in many lands."

"It takes a long time to turn a big country around. Just be of good cheer and keep working on it."

"When I took office, only high energy physicists had ever heard of what is called the Worldwide Web....Now even my cat has its own page."

"Our objectives are clear. Our forces are strong, and our cause is right."

"Our Founders saw themselves in the light of posterity. We can do no less."

"We will stand mighty for peace and freedom, and maintain a strong defense against terror and destruction."

"We simply cannot wait for a tornado, a fire or a flood to behave like Americans ought to behave in dealing with one another."
