I am tracing all the cultures that I, through DNA testing, have discovered I belong to via blood. Norway is one, and I have just received my first "News of Norway" Summer 2008 edition such that I can learn the culture. When one is poor, one has to do his own real life college curriculum as it were, and glean as much free info as possible. I have only known one Norwegian personally, and that was my astute Philosophy Professor in College. Too bad I didn't know I had Norwegian blood, I could have drilled her mind for info bigtime. That is truly the way to get a sense of the culture because books are good, but a living person gives you the true feeling of the culture.
