Remember This Fellow Americans

May 14, 2008 / by scottishlassie

Freedom is never free. It is rarely won bloodlessly.

"Resistance to tyrants is obedience to G_d."

Thomas Jefferson, Third President of the United States, with "Are you sitting down?" no formal education. This eloquent, articulate, advocate and champion of liberty was not formally schooled, but in my opinion, he was incomparable in his reasoning ability, and discernment in pressing forward the cause of true freedom and liberty for our fledgling nation.  I salute this man today. At thirty three years old (thinking what I am thinking?) he drafted the Declaration of Independence, and later the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom. Have you ever been to Monticello? You simply must go before you die, and the sooner the better.  I went about 25 years ago, and it was an experience I will never forget. What a thrill to be able to go to this glorious statemen's home. Blessings, Carol
